Dog Town is a dog rpg based on strays. they live in a ghost town. War is waged between the kind and evil. You can be any breed of dog, even a hybrid and any alliance. Do you think you could survive the pack life?
A year has past since the event, yet it has not been forgotten. I have no regrets for the murder of Ahina. Her coat, so beautiful and silver, became soaked in red blood. I remember the scent of it; almost like a juice, the sweetest thing that has ever touched my mouth. My body gave a shudder at the thought, craving more, but none would be the same has her’s……something about it was just……better, perfect, almost goddess-like, but no, I would never drink the blood of the dearest Tavo or Jintu, my overseers. But Rem-Haj’s sister. She was worth the kill. She came to give him some foal of his. Yes, he was a father, still is, and the little bastard’s mother had died. That is why Ahina brought him, he needed guidance. She never got the chance to hand him off. Locket, that dammed Locket. As soon as she saw him, oh boy, she was head over hooves. How, I have no clue. That Locket, now he is one fugly beast; every time I just want to rip those nuts off of him, prancing around flaunting himself. Death. That is what he deserves. That back stabbing son of a bitch. Yes, Ahina was quite the lady. Her features flawless……no, I can’t think that way. She was trouble. And that Locket, stealing her heart! Does Rem-Haj even know about his son? No. She was too busy with Locket.
Oh that night of her death. So great it was. Trickery was the key. Guide her off, grab her chest, and rip. Simple; suffering. Then I went for her jugular, the blood, oh the sweet, sweet blood. Rem-Haj found her body; Locket thinks it was him. His hate is strong for Rem-Haj. He knows, oh yes, Locket knows whose foal it is. It’s the secret he keeps from him, taking in the bastard as one of his own! Revenge. Get close enough to Locket, kill him. Take the foal. Oh Locket, dearest Locket, you are soon to die…
Locket
Denial. Locket stood alone under the great oak, the wheat bowed in mourning with the wind. He had only told one person of the signifigance of this spot. Just last week she stood here with me, Locket thought, his eyes scanning the landscape at this realization. She couldn't be gone, it's too soon. She had so much longer to live. He could hear the sounds of a bantle playing near the stream. She had brought the foal with her, to give to her brother, the father. Locket looked at the sun, he normally met Ahina about now in the wheat fields. He turned to the young colt and stared at him numbly. After a moment he sighed and began to speak. "Come on, Ahina will be waiting for us in the fields." Without another thought he continued on the path he had walked so many times since she had arrived.
Anger. Locket had finally agreed to speak to Shivya. He wanted to discuss the colt. Locket couldn't give him tp Rem-Haj, not now. He could murder the colt just as he had done his own sister. Locket glared at the horizon, his eyes burned with the sudden moisture. He had been son frustrated lately. Why had she gone to see Rem-Haj that night? Locket had asked her to wait. She even brought the colt with her, what was she expecting to happen after she dropped the news on Rem. It was her fault, all of this was her fault. She had wanted to go. He snarled and tossed his cran angrily. She had a choice, she could have stayed.
Barginning. Locket had been arguing with the foal lately. The bantle had been telling him lies, about Ahina's death. It cut a new gash in Locket's heart each time he mentioned her. It hadn't been her time to go yet. Rem had stolen that time from them, they could have lived full lives together. They would have been happy. He often pleaded with any higher power that would listen. If there was some way to exchange Rem-Haj's death for Ahina's life...Locket planned to kill the bastard. He knew it wouldn't bring back Ahina, but she deserved some kind of vengence. Maybe if he was just a better person or a good sire to the colt he could have her back. Or at least get rid of this ache in his chest.
Depression. The stallion was laying near the small stream as he had been for days now. He had lost the will to get up, he was never going to get her back. Rem-Haj could suffer a thousand deaths, but Locket would still be alone. He and Ahina had planned a future together, once all this mess was all taken care of. He had no future now. It had disappeared with her. The young foal knew how to take care of himself, but he was lonely. Locket knew he should feel bad, but he couldn't make himself care. He just couldn't see past these awful months or past his own self pity.
Acceptance. Last night he had dreamt about her again. In those dreams she was almost alive again and there were together for a little while. Last night she told him the same message she told him every other night. To feel pain after loss is normal. It proves that we are alive. But we can't stop living. Locket had been hearing, but not listening. Now he understood. Lately he had been talking to Shivya about what they were to do with Rem-Haj. Locket still hated him and wished him dead. But he knew he should at least listen to what he had to say, why he killed his sister. Ahina would want Locket to show him at least that much mercy. Lately he had been trying to have patience with the colt and listen to him. It was hard to believe his stories. He had lost Ahina, so perhaps he was grieving as well. Perhaps his stories were a part of that. Locket found himself walking through the wheat fields most times. Sometimes it felt as if he could even feel Ahina's presence there still. But she was gone now and he had to move on, he knew that. One day he might.
This is the history and where it is all based off of. Ahina is the Silver Strand, the piece that links together all three herd members; Gold, Bronze, and Ebony. (( Rem-Haj's point of view is coming soon! ))
